Amy is the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Advanced Practitioner Assistant Psychologist.
Amy has a first-class honours degree in Psychology from the University of Cardiff. She undertook a Professional Placement/ Internship with one of the largest specialist school provisions in the UK and brings experience across specialist/ SEND and mainstream educational settings. She has worked in a specialist schools, and previously worked as an intervention support worker in the community, supporting children and young people with diverse needs.
Within Haven Psychology, she is an Advanced Practitioner Assistant Psychologist working under the clinical supervision of Dr James Tonks, Dr Ian Frampton & Dr Jan Freeman. In this role, she provides individual therapy for students experiencing anxiety and mood difficulties and delivers psychological and neuropsychological assessments tailored to educational contexts. Amy collaborates closely with Dr Tonks to deliver education support and rehabilitation services in schools. In addition, Amy is the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Advanced Practitioner Assistant Psychologist, and Clinical Lead at Haven Wood Forest School.
